Sanitary Sewer Maintenance

Sanitary sewer maintenance will be completed in northwest Tillsonburg from November 14 until December 16.

The work will be performed on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Affected neighbourhoods include Glendale, Glendale West, Oak Park, Woodland Estates, Lisgar Heights and Southridge. Get full details at www.tillsonburg.ca/sewer.

Contractors will be working in different areas of the highlighted area. Please note high traffic areas may be flushed after 7:00 p.m. to ensure safety for contractors and residents.

During this work, a bubbling and/or vacuum effect may be noticed in your drains and/or toilets. If you notice this occurring, close all toilet seats and cover any floor drains during the flushing period. In order to prevent sewer gases from migrating into the home, it is important to refill all plumbing traps by running the water in your sinks and floor drains after the work is complete.

Winter Parking and Road Conditions

Residents are reminded that on-street parking is not permitted 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM from November 15 to March 31. You can learn more about winter road and sidewalk maintenance, including snow removal priorities, at www.tillsonburg.ca/ snow

Get your holiday shopping done with T:GO transit! Ride the T:GO Christmas Bus (In- Town Red Route) on the following Saturdays:

Service runs from 7:55 AM to 5:55 PM. The Christmas Bus is brought to you by the Downtown Tillsonburg BIA, Voyago Transit and the Town of Tillsonburg.

Loose Leaf Curbside Collection

The annual curbside collection of loose leaves is continuing. Collection in Zone 4 will begin on November 28 and includes the following neighbourhoods:

• Areas west of Tillson Ave.
• Annandale subdivision
• Riverview (Cadman) subdivision
• Potters Gate

The Town is divided into four collection zones. Visit www.tillsonburg.ca/leaves for full details. If you miss your collection week, you can take your loose leaves to the Tillsonburg Transfer Station (50 Newell Road) for composting.

Christmas Open House at ANHS

Visit Annandale NHS this weekend! Join us at 7:00 p.m. on Friday as we kick off the holiday season. Enjoy the lighting of the Service Club Christmas Garden then come in to explore the new exhibit, “Jingle Bell Rock Christmas.” Plus, the first two floors of Annandale House will be decorated for the holidays! Community Swims and Skates

Aquatics Renovation Timeline

Great news! The indoor pool will remain open until February 25, 2023. Swimming lessons and drop-in programs will continue to be available until that date.

New Council Sworn In

Your new Town of Tillsonburg Council was sworn into office last week. Council has appointed Dave Beres to the role of Deputy Mayor.

On November 21, Council endorsed the development of the following committees for the 2022-2026 term of Council.
