Streetlight Maintenance

Did you know there are more than 2700 streetlights in the Town of Tillsonburg? Throughout the year, Town staff coordinate streetlight system inspections, streetlight pole replacements and the maintenance of defective fixtures.

Streetlights help:

  • Provide a feeling of safety, security and comfort.
  • Reduce nighttime vehicular accidents by increasing visibility for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
  • Enhance social and commercial traffic.

If you notice a problem with a street light, contact the Customer Service Centre at 519-688-3009 or use the online Report a Problem form (available on the website or app). Include the street name and, if possible, the pole identification numbers, which are located on the pole. If the pole does not have an identification number, report a residential address close to the pole.

Spring Water System Maintenance

The Town of Tillsonburg will continue seasonal water system maintenance as follows:

April 14-18
All dead-end water mains north of Concession Street

April 21-25
All dead-end water mains south of Concession Street

Flushing will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily. Residents in the maintenance area may experience low pressure and discoloured water while flushing is in progress.
Residents should avoid doing laundry while flushing is happening as discoloured water may transfer to clothes and bedding.

In the event your water is discoloured, open a cold water tap in your home for 5-10 minutes until the line is clear. If discolouring persists, contact Customer Service at 519-688-3009
