Crossing Guard Appreciation Day
March 22 is School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day in Ontario. The Town of Tillsonburg recognizes the school crossing guards who daily help students with their active and safe travel to and from school. Support your local school crossing guards by following these guidelines:
- Guard signals you to stop; all cyclists and drivers must stop.
- Understand and follow the posted speed limits, especially in school zones.
- Always check before turning at intersections.
- Remain stopped until all pedestrians and guard have cleared the crossing. It’s the law!
- Do not drop students off in NO stopping and NO parking zones.

The Town of Tillsonburg has begun its spring water system maintenance program.
