Commemorative Tree Unveiling: October 18

Time: 10:30 AM
Location: Annandale National Historic Site (30 Tillson Ave.)

Join us on the front lawn of Annandale National Historic Site for a special commemorative tree unveiling ceremony marking Tillsonburg’s 200th anniversary. A native tamarack tree has been planted to honour the legacy of a historic tamarack that once stood on the site. The original tree was planted in 1900 to commemorate E.D. and Mary Ann Tillson’s 50th wedding anniversary and served as a living reminder of the town’s founders for more than 125 years.

The ceremony will include remarks from Joan Weston, representing the Parks and Beautification Committee, who will share the story behind the new planting and the town’s continued commitment to preserving and enhancing its natural heritage.
