Asphalt Paving Program
The Town of Tillsonburg uses a pavement management system to determine which streets should be resurfaced in any given year. Pavement conditions, pavement age, traffic volumes and maintenance records all influence the timing and need for resurfacing.
If your street is selected for resurfacing, you will receive an Asphalt Paving Program Notice approximately two (2) weeks before construction begins. The work on each street will take six (6) to eight (8) weeks to complete. Construction takes place in phases and there may be delays between each stage.
The Town uses contractors to complete the following road resurfacing work:
- repair of concrete curbs, sidewalks and catch basins
- raise and adjust manholes
- remove and replace asphalt surface
- restore any damage to sod, driveways and private curbs resulting from the construction
