Parking in Tillsonburg is governed by By-Law 2022-029 To regulate traffic and the parking of motor vehicles in the Town of Tillsonburg. On this page, you can learn about parking restrictions, find the location of municipal parking lots, pay parking tickets and more.

Credit card payments can be made over the phone by calling the Customer Service Centre at 519-688-3009.
Mail a cheque or money order to the address on the ticket. Make cheque payable to Town of Tillsonburg. Do not mail cash.
Cash, cheque, money order or debit card are all accepted at the Customer Service Centre.
You will receive a Notice of Impending Conviction advising you of the outstanding amount of your ticket if payment is not made within 15 days of being issued. Fees may be added and nonpayment of a ticket may end up in plate denial.
Please come into the Customer Service Centre at 10 Lisgar Ave., and ask to speak to By-law Enforcement between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The person fighting the parking ticket must be registered owner of the vehicle, and proof must be displayed. Once identity has been confirmed, fill in the back of the ticket and request trial option. A court date will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle to hear the matter.
Please note additional fees will be added for the court cost should you not be successful during your trial.
The Town of Tillsonburg provides convenient and accessible parking for those doing business or visiting. Residents and visitors are required to adhere to all by-laws and posted signs.
The majority of the downtown core has a limit of two-hour for on-street parking. There are also 17 municipal lots that are primarily all day parking unless otherwise posted.
The Town's Parking and Traffic By-law prohibits overnight parking on all streets from November 15 - March 31, between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. This allows snowplow operators to safely and efficiently remove snow from local roadways.
Please be advised that Parking Enforcement is done routinely regardless of the weather conditions between November 15 and March 31.
In addition, vehicles are not permitted to park on Broadway Street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the downtown year round.
According to the Traffic and Parking By-Law 2022-029, “no person shall at any time park a vehicle in the front yard of any residential property that is not designated as a driveway.” Anyone who parks a vehicle in a front yard can be fined under the Traffic and Parking By-Law.

If you plan to temporarily occupy any portion of the Town's right-of-way or public lands, you are required to apply for an Encroachment Permit. If you have hired a contractor, the contractor must be the one to apply for the Encroachment Permit.
Recreational Vehicles shall not be stored within 7.5 m (24.6 ft.) of the property line in the Front Yard and 1 m (3.28 ft.) of the property line in the Rear or Side Yard from November 1 to April 14.
Recreational Vehicles may be parked on a driveway in the front or exterior side yard between April 15 and October 31 provided they are at least 2 m (6.65 ft.) from the pavement/ road finish and 1 m (3.28 ft.) away from the backside of the sidewalk.
The Recreational Vehicle shall not exceed 3.7 m (12.1 ft.) in height measured from grade to the highest point of the Recreational Vehicle. The Recreational Vehicle must be in operable condition and not under repair/ alteration.
Not more than two (2) Recreational Vehicles shall be stored outside.

Tillsonburg has three (3) spaces where you can park while charging your electric vehicle. Lot 5B (next to the clock tower at Broadway and Bridge Street W.) has two (2) spaces available and there is one space in the east parking lot of the Community Centre located at 45 Hardy Avenue.
Please display your accessible parking permit in the front window length wise with expiry date visible and not covered up. Failure to do so will result in a fine being issued.
Please note that By-law Enforcement and the Police have the authority to seize expired or permits that are being abused.
Even with an accessibility permit, you're still required to follow the two-hour parking limit. If you are found in violation, you will be issued a ticket.
